Au revoir VT

eat218

The Voting Tree in Bere Alston, or as we call it 'The VT', has been our semi-permanent home for our pop-up events and private parties for over a year now. However, it's changing ownership at the end of March. We always knew Paul (the current owner) would sell, but to be honest, secretly hoped for our sake that this would take a bit more time than it has.

What a delight it has been to walk in to a ready-to-go kitchen for just one chef (or two on occasion) and have a cosy dining room for our Feasters. We know from your feedback that you've enjoyed the VT ambience and thank you again for supporting our events there. And hats off to Paul for renting us the space! We hope it is indeed 'goodbye until we meet again', if the new owners fancy following in his footsteps...

The good news is that Nick the Vic has stepped in to save the day by renting us the Holy Trinity Church Hall in the village for our final Spring event on 26 April. It's a delightful hall that can take more covers than the VT, so there's an added bonus in that we have some more tickets available. And after our Summer events at Rumleigh Farm and the Tamar Valley Vineyard, we hope very much to return to Simple Suppers in Bere Alston for the Autumn, one way or another.

Finally, please get in touch if you'd like to go on the wait list for our sold out February and March VT Suppers. All the events from then on through to the beginning of September are live for booking. We hope to see you soon!
