About the event

The menu 

Amuse bouche: Gruyere and black olive palmiers - green gazpacho

To start and share 

  • Courgette and mint Scarpaccia  (vegetarian/vegan)  ***  
  • Anti pasti: fennel salami - caponata - artichoke and truffle cream bruschetta (vegetarian/vegan) *** 
  • Stuffed artichokes - grown by us (vegetarian) ***
  • Beetroot carpaccio ajo blanco (vegetarian/vegan) ***
  • Grilled peaches, burrata, coppa di Parma and rocket  

Hot from the wood fired oven and charcoal grill    

  • Spatchcock spago poussin - Calabrian chilli sauce or sauce verte  
  • Rumleigh Farm marinated lamb spiedini - salsa verde*** 
  • Pizza peperonata with mozzarella and capers (vegetarian) or with vegan Ndjua and vegan mozzerella (vegan)  (Please note vegetarian and vegan options need to be pre-booked)


  • Green bean, tomato, basil panzanella salad (vegetarian/vegan) ***
  • Insalata verde, cacio e pepe dressing (vegetarian/vegan) ***
  • New potato, broad beans, peas, parsley, oregano, dill, roasted garlic lemon oil dressing (vegetarian/vegan) ***

*** Includes elements grown or produced on Rumleigh Farm, the Bere Peninsula or elsewhere in the Tamar Valley to high animal welfare and sustainble farming standards. 

This is a BYO event. 

You are welcome to walk around parts of the farm with consideration before lunch from 11 am onwards till service at 1 pm. 

Weather permitting, outside occasional tables with marinated olives and made by us fennel taralli and some seasting will also be provided, should you wish to arrive for pre- lunch fizz (BYO). Please bring your own rug should you want to sit in the orchard or at other beautiful spots at Rumleigh.

Please note you need to be seated to dine at 1 pm. (Sorry, but we will not come looking for you !). The actual Feast takes place in the Barn, so is not weather dependent!

Birland Feasts are shared dining experiences with seasonal menus in unique venues across the Bere Peninsula. My cookery is heavily influenced by French, Italian,  Spanish and Southern Mediterranean food cultures, with some modern twists. I am passionate about great taste, big on flavour, quality ingredients and local provenance. We don't do foams, pea shoots or whipped butter! Vegetarians are catered for with equal gusto - just please indicate how many vegetarians are in your party when booking. Sorry, but we cannot cater for specific diets or food allergies, due to nature of the event, the food we cook and kitchen, which is not allergen free. Menus subject to change due to availability of ingredients.

We ask you to be seated ready for service at 1 pm and we close up by 4 pm. If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know 72  hours before the event and we will offer you a full refund. After 72 hours, we can only offer a refund if we are able to re-sell your tickets. If you can't come at the last minute, please do let us know so we don't lay up a place for you. Details about parking etc. will be sent prior to the event.
