Let's make fresh pasta
Learn how to make fresh egg pasta from scratch in a workshop with Martin. You'll make different pasta eg pappardelle, tagliatelle, fazzoletti and a stuffed pasta. You'll also learn how to cook pasta and make simple pasta sauces and pesto.

This half day workshop, designed for just four people, and is a mixture of hands on experience and demonstrations. You don't need to bring anything, as all the equipment and ingredients are provided, but an apron and Tupperware-type box to take home what you have made would be a good idea. Morning refreshments are provided. You will leave with recipes and the confidence to make your own pasta and pasta sauces at home. At the end of the session Martin will cook two pasta dishes and show you how to make two simple sauces. Of course there will be an opportunity to taste!
We will cover:
Making fresh egg pasta dough and flavoured pasta
Different types of pasta and flour
Using a pasta machine
Making ribbon pasta, shapes and filled pasta
Cooking pasta
Making simple pasta sauces
Access note: There is a small step up from the road onto the path to our front door and a small step down into the hallway, then level access to the kitchen dining room. The toilet is on the first floor, up a straight 12-tread carpeted staircase with handrails on both sides.
