The Tamar Valley Vineyard is a new venue for us in 2025 for this very French inspired BBQ Feast. You're welcome to walk through the orchard and some of the vines, taking in some breathtaking views of the River Tamar before you enjoy a rustic lunch in and around the winery.

Amuse bouche - always a closely guarded secret till the day


To start

  • Focaccia and green tapenade

  • Saucisson - remoulade - goat's cheese, melon and basil

  • One of the following (depending on availability)

Grilled sardines aioli

Mussel pans, Tamar Valley Vineyard cider and cream

Tied and stuffed Cornish mackerel with parsley, capers and lemon


Main course

From the grill to share:

  • Lamb brochettes with Rabelais spices, Provençal salsa

  • Saddleback pork Toulouse style sausage made by us, piperade sauce

  • Free range chicken, tarragon aioli

  • Courgette and riccota tranche, herby creme fraiche  (pre-booked vegetarian option)*


Seasonal salads

  • Our salade niçoise

  • Macedoine with tarragon Dijon dressing

  • Escarole, classic vinaigrette


Dessert


  • Paris-Brest, praline, almonds and a Valrhona chocolate sauce - fresh Tamar Valley raspberries

  • Apricot and almond tranche - lavender crème Chantilly

  • Pineau poached peaches - pistachio ice cream - strawberry coulis - crumble




Sorry, but this venue requires you to bring your own crockery and cutlery (but not glasses). There will be a bar with Tamar Valley Vineyard wines (by glass or bottle) and cider, plus local beers and soft drinks. Bottles of water will be on the tables.


Before lunch there will be an opportunity to find out about the vineyard and the wine they produce from Marcus. Please note this is an outdoor event (but under cover) and a shared dining experience at which you'll be seated at a table of six/eight.


My cookery is heavily influenced by French, Italian,  Spanish and Southern Mediterranean food cultures, with some modern twists. I am passionate about great taste and big on flavour, quality ingredients and local provenance. We don't do foams, pea shoots or whipped butter! *Vegetarians are catered for with equal gusto - just please indicate how many vegetarians are in your party when booking. Sorry, but we cannot cater for other specific diets or food allergies, due to nature of the event, the food we cook and the kitchen, which is not allergen free. Menu subject to change due to availability of ingredients.


You are very welcome to arrive up to an hour before the event to walk around the vineyard. We ask you to be seated ready for service at 1 pm and we will close up at 4 pm-ish.


Please note there is a booking service fee for this event.. If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know 72  hours before the event and we will offer you a full refund. After 72 hours, we can only offer a refund if we are able to re-sell your ticket(s). If you can't come at the last minute, please do let us know so we don't lay up a place for you. Details about parking etc. will be sent prior to the event.
